2012 Annual report now available
The board of the Anika Foundation wish to draw your attention to the new Annual Report for 2011-2012, which contains the Chairman’s report, the Directors Report and all the financial information. 2012 was a very successful year, for fund raising, and for our support for adolescent depression and suicide. The teacher scholars from last year have completed their research trips, and the interview process for the new scholars has been completed and the winners will be announced by the premier this August—so watch this space.
Mona Taouk, our PhD scholar from the University of NSW is nearing completion of her thesis on screening for depression in schools. She has completed over 3000 interviews all over Australia, and is moving into the writing up phase. She is very excited about the work, and the board has agreed to help her disseminate the findings at an international conference next year.
We are looking forward to posting some of her findings and those of the teacher scholars on the website.
